Dr. Roger Morrison was born in Sydney and attended Sydney Academy. He then completed bachelor of science degrees in both biology and psychology from Cape Breton university before receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic, Caum Laude with clinical honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic college in Toronto. After graduation he returned to Sydney, Nova Scotia to begin his practice.
Dr. Morrison is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors. He is also registered as an Injury Management Consultant (IMC) under the Nova Scotia Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols Regulation of the Insurance Act.
Dr. Morrison has 15 years of experience treating a wide range of musculo-skeletal conditions and practices mainly diversified technique adjusting as well as some Thompson Drop table techniques. Dr. Morrison is highly skilled in myofascial release techniques and is certified in clinical acupuncture, as well as being trained in Matheson job site analysis and Matheson functional capacity evaluations (FCE). Dr. Morrison has specific training in Gua Sha and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, office ergonomic assessment, Pro Golf Health, custom brace fitting, gait analysis and custom orthotic fitting, as well as pain management.
Dr. Morrison is the team Chiropractor for the 2019 AUS Champion Cape Breton University Capers Men's and Women's soccer teams as well as the Cape Breton University Capers Men's and Women's basketball teams.
